Collection of a Gas - Pneumatic Trough: GO BACK
To generate hydrogen gas (H2), I
add 250 mL of water to sidearm flask, 35 grams of mossy zinc (Zn), and 50 mL of
muriatic acid (HCl) ~9M HCl.
Zn(s) + 2 HCl(aq)
--> ZnCl2(aq) + H2(g)
