Laboratory Report Form:

Purpose:  One brief statement of the question or problem the experiment is designed to investigate.

Materials & Methods:  A description of the materials and apparatus used.  Frequently, it is permissible to refer to a reference.

Observation & Data:  Contains the record of RAW data obtained and recorded during the experiment.  This could be visual changes and/or readings from instruments.  Use tables to record information whenever possible.

Calculations & Results:  Contains an interpretation and explanation of the significance of the results obtained.  Often this is done by answering a set of questions, or working through a set of problems, designed to direct the thinking of the inexperienced scientist.

Conclusion:  A clear, concise statement of the results obtained and its relationship to principle involved.

Chemistry labs are 'pHun'...but I hate the lab write-ups!
